GREAT & LITTLE GRANSDEN CHURCHES

Updated : 29th March: Home

Welcome to our Website.

As Churches we aim to be at the heart of the community participating in all aspects of the life here. From within the community we reach out and engage with the whole of God's world. In our Services we welcome all ages in Church. We meet together as the people of God.

The Revd. Rachel Blanchflower can be contacted at:
rev.gransdens@gmail.com, or by phone on: 07824 380 479.

Rachel’s post is half-time, but she will be in the villages for part of
most days of the week - except for Thursdays, her day off.

Please get in touch if you have any enquiries about weddings, baptisms, funerals,home/hospital visits or exploring the Christian faith – or just if you’d value tea and a chat.

SERVICE FOR SUNDAY 29th MARCH

Today is Passion Sunday and a short Sunday Service can found on the benefice website https://www.bluebellbenefice.org.uk/home-worship

The Benefice website has also been updated with many resources that can be used at home: do have a browse.

Many rainbows can be seen around the village. As well as finding rainbows and teddy bears, a 'window of hope' challenge for this week is a picture of bluebells.

If any LEGO Church-goers are up for a virtual session on Good Friday, please email Rev Rachel me so that she can send you a Zoom invite nearer the time!

Some good news in these challenging times.  Rev Rachel is now our Rector.

LATEST INFORMATION RE Coronavirus
Following the Prime Ministers instructions on 23rd March regretfully our churches will no longer be open for private prayer. God bless and keep safe.

ROUNDABOUT - our benefice monthly magazine can be accessed here http://roundabout.gransdens.org/

ST BARTHOLOMEW GREAT GRANSDEN QUINQUENNIAL REPAIRS

At the last Quinquennial inspection in 2016 the architect recommended repairs to external stonework, window surrounds and rainwater goods.  These repairs were classed as urgent needing to be completed within 3 years and will cost in the region of £35,000.  We are half way to our fund raising target using PCC reserves and pledged grant aid (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust, Poor Lands Charity, Clare College, Cambridge, Jack Patston Trust). Further grant applications are in progress.

We now need your help to meet the shortfall.  Please visit our Just Giving Fund Raising Page
or contact our Treasurer Andrew Fogg.
