THE GRANSDENS CHURCH CHOIR

There has been a church choir here in the Gransdens for over 100 years. We are a mixed choir of children and adults and currently 20 in number.

We are an affiliated choir of the Royal School of Church Music and use the ’Voice for Life’ training scheme. Members are helped and encouraged to participate in the RSCM Chorister Awards in the Diocese.

We welcome children aged 7+ and any adults to join us.

Each year some of our members take part in the Diocesan Choirs Festival in Ely Cathedral.

We sing a wide range of music from traditional 4 part choral settings to modern worship songs. We still use some of the music acquired in the early 1900’s when it is appropriate and recently we have revived some of William Tansur’s psalms found in a book dating from 1754.
