ALTAR SERVERS
Here in the Gransdens we have a small team who serve at the main morning Family
Communion services.
Their main duties are:
-
to prepare the altar before service
-
to carry the cross at the front of the processions before and after the service
-
to carry the lectionary to the body of the church for the gospel reading
-
to assist the clergy during the service
-
to clear away all items on the altar after the service
We also use 2 members of the Choir to be Acolytes (carry the processional candles) for the gospel procession.
Our vestments are a white hooded cassock/alb with girdle.
Rota for next few months (Note: subject to change)

We need more volunteers to take on this task as the main role falls
on just 3 adults with 2 youngsters assisting.
We can offer full training for anyone interested.
Please contact Sheila George or Rachel Fogg for further information.
